MANAGING THE AD HOC PATH
Life is a journey from birth to death that follows an ad hoc path. We do not choose our parents, our birthplace, or our time in history. We do not know what lies ahead from day to day. But, we know that we are on a journey of great mystery and excitement. There are no predictions, promises, or plans that can possibly hold with any certainty, other than those that we can control ourselves. And, as we try to establish control on a going forward basis from childhood to maturity, we learn just how much we can and can't control.
Managing the ad hoc path requires a strategy of control of self and control of the environment, or field of action, which allows the self to operate upon itself and upon the world with greater capacity for obtaining precisely intended results.
